Taking picture in the GTA5
As we play the game, we can use it as a sandbox for the real world and experiment with it. That's why I love GTA. Because it's a place for all the experiments and a game where you can check the roots.
How did y'all spend 2020. I spent my day playing GTA5 stuck at the dorm in 2020. Back then, I would ride my motorcycle from Los Santos to the Port of Paleto, hit people on the back and shoot seagulls passing by from the rooftop of an inn. I felt like I had the whole world then. Los Santos, a huge city in a tiny world of computers. It felt like my hometown.
In my daily life in Los Santos, I started taking pictures with my phone camera when I was caught up in an enjoyable or strange incident. Is my holding a cell phone camera in the game screen acting in line with my body that exists outside the screen? I'm not taking a screenshot, but I'm becoming a character in the game and holding a phone camera.
I'm recalling past memories because I'm curious about whether the ego projected on the screen causes the opposite ego-body unity of the image. It's unclear whether I enjoyed the game by clearly matching my body to the character at that time.
Nevertheless, what I can know is that the viewing angle and manipulation of the phone camera held by the character were consistent with the actual human one. What I took a picture in GTA5 is that even if I did not become a character, I matched myself with the character's eyes and looked at the world on the screen.
In order for the real self in the screen to exist, it is necessary to act proportionally to the external event. In other words, no matter how much I match myself with the game and enjoy the game, and no matter how immersed I am in the game. The material system of the outside world of the game must exist inside the game, and the participants of the game actually recognize it.
Photographic Mechanism of in the Game and Real World
While playing the game, we can use it as a sandbox for the real world and experiment with it. That's why I love GTA. Because it's a place for all the experiments and a game where you can check the roots of the unconscious. I did a photo experiment. To take a picture, we find the target subject. Then we create lines, lights, and proportions. This process also applies to polygon NPCs in this GTA. So they become living people?
That's not it. If an object is included in a picture, the object is fixed on a medium called a picture. It means that it becomes a dead object. Is it a picture that takes an alive polygon and puts it in a picture to declare that the polygon is a dead object once again? Even if the mechanisms that are taken are the same as the actual picture, it should be questioned whether the picture taken in this world is really a picture.
The end of the picture is not in the process of being taken. It is a matter of the object being taken. This problem will continue to penetrate our lives and eventually lead to the end of the image.
